I have to run out to a job to pick up some paperwork this morning so I'll be out of the office for a while.

Hope ya all have a great F'ing day!

Morning.

I have a full day of interviews for a job I'm seeking today. 9:30 to 4:00 with a whole boatload of different people.

Then it is off to the hockey rink for Mite B and Squirt A practices tonight. I should just buy a cot and sleep at the rink!

Good luck, yo! I hope they feed you.

I'm sitting at home right now waiting for a chimney guy to stop by to give me some estimates on repairs. We didn't like the first $2800 quote we got.

My fork is back from Push, so no more hardtail thank god. I'm not sure why folks think riding a hardtail makes you a better rider. I think it just makes you a better hardtail rider. I'm slower every single place I ride by a not insignificant amount.

So the 575 has all brand new pivots and bearings, a new bottom bracket and derailleur cables. Just have to rebuild one pedal that has a broken thingy on it.

Good Morning!

Took the day off yesterday as a "mental health" day. Didn't ride, didn't build, didn't do anything but breathe, sleep and eat. T'was very f'ing nice!!

Today is pretty busy since I wasn't here at work yesterday. Lots of stuff to catch up on---but you gotta pay if you want to play, right? :brow:

Y'all take care and have good day!

good F'n morning

tired, and in a funk where everything kinda sucks...

I got roped into sponsoring a station at a haunted trail, and got in touch with my friend who is a special FX guru, and he is going to help me with some stuff. he just finished helping with a super sweet looking "B" horror film... I checked out the teaser online and it looks sweet.

anyway just kind of pissy today I guess.

Morning. Can't say it's good though. I almost feel bad about complaining since I don't have to be bothered by the trappings of a job, but I had a horrible night. No sleep whatsoever. Some ass hat had his/her car alarm sounding off every half hour last night, all night. The car in question is parked directly in front of my bedroom window. I really hate apartment living.

My cousin is a Sergeant with the City of Middletown Po Po, so I called him and he had 3 cars here in 5 minutes trying to track down the ass hat. No luck. So, he and I sat in the po po Tahoe until morning waiting for the ass hat to go to work. Ass hat must not have work today, so I left a very nasty note on the car regarding respect for his neighbors. Ass hat probably can't read though. Oh well, off to bed. Have fun a work all.

'morning everyone. The cooler f'ing weather in the mornings has been nice, I like it.

Got my new-to-me 24" BMX bike all put together as a commuting bike to and from class. Thanks chicodude for the f'ing hookup. Works great, and I'm happy to have some extra riding time in every day.

The tree frogs are out again, saw a couple on the f'ing building today. Cool little buggers, took a couple pictures of some little tiny (baby?) ones the other day:

They were pretty skittish and did not appreciate my flash.

Have a good f'ing day everyone!

Good morning and good luck. I am waiting for the right time to announce a departure. I can't seem to get it right in my head. It's making my stomach hurt, so I hope you at least don't have that.

It likes to go by the name Nessy, really a sweet heart, calling it a Moster Just hurts its feelings , its sensitive you know.
Well it just acts like that to get the tree fiddy from you everyday..... But then again if you don't give it the tree fiddy it would probably eat you. Doesn't make for such a good commute.

I wonder if there is a wok somewhere laying around just out of the picture?

It really doesn't matter how you word it, all they're going to here is you're leaving. And you'll feel better too. I was nervous about telling my boss I was leaving a job of 4 years (just about a year ago), but once it was done I wasn't sure why I'd been worrying.

so go do it, it'll make the rest of your day a breeze.

You have to figure they aren't going to ge ahold of everyone on the first try. I was a reference for someone recently and it took 4 days of phone-tag to touch base. If it hasn't been a week, you're sweating it for no reason - unless you have reason to suspect a poor reference.

Also, the higher you move up the ladder, the longer the hiring process takes. Be patient, drink if you have to.....

Haha...true. I think they spoke with my main reference on Fri. I'm not sweating my references, just wondering how many qualified people I'm up against at this point.

aye, do a bid tabulation and ensure they are quoting the same scope of work.
They are different. The $2800 guy wants to knock down about 1/4 of the chimney and rebuild it. The $978 guy says the existing chimney just needs to be patched up. Also, the $978 quote was much more detailed.

Good morning, folks!

This is the last week in my current position as regional habitat technition before I start in the phoenix game branch next week (I work for the state game and fish dept). So today we're all going out for mexican food for lunch and I'm basically spending my last days cleaning up all my computer files and writing tutorials and glossaries of what I've done and what I've left.

It's a bit pain-staking, but it is kind of fun looking back at some of my old projects and files I haven't seen in a couple of years.

Out of my mind, back in a moment.
Morning.

Easy day today. Discovered I have a busted spoke on the rear wheel of the SS, so that irritates me. All I have to do today, since it's raining, is to clean up the Kona nicely, await my thomson post, drink tea and relax and read some notes. Great stuff I say.

For the past 3 years I've been doing antelope-pronghorn habitat assesments, modification projects, data analysis, and GIS mapping for one of the dept's regional offices. Starting next week I'll be working doing just about the same thing but I'll be looking for potential bighorn sheep transplant locations.

What it means is that I'll be hiking around the mountains, recording vegetation species make-ups, locations of potential watering sites, escape terrain, etc. for bighorn sheep to see if the area can sustain a population.

Not the most glamorous job, but it's fun and keeps me in shape. ;)

Good Tuesday afternoon all...Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, I've finally got my butt back on the board.

Let me see...spend vast majority of work last week with guys from Austria talking about a deal that won't ever happen. Then have spent the weekend and early part of the week playing b1tch to the man on the typical quarter close crap.

Good things: Hiked Mount Mansfield on Saturday (sorry divi, stosh, bluebug, rob about the ride) and had about an inch of frost on the chin. Also, Dodgers are in the postseason and will hopefully win at least one game.

On a side note, does anyone here work (or know someone who works) at Vail? SS, got a new lead.
