...damn, there's some serious slacking going on here. Almost 10:00 and no GMT thread! So, this is my first good morning thread.. Be gentle.

Everyone have a good night last night? It poured rain here for a little while, some nice lightning.. I love thunderstorms, just sat in my car and enjoyed the show for a bit. My cat disagrees with my enjoyment, though - he was freaked out and hid under the futon the whole time.

How'd things go yesterday, Mark? Good coffee & conversation?

Have a good day everyone...

Not much happened yesterday for me. I sent a resumé off to Burton and am keeping my fingers crossed. I also played a great game of "find the squeak" with my SS. The bike won. :(

New job lined up Jozz?

Morning - sorry to be late to the already late GMT thread - good job on picking up the Slack BV!

Coffee and conversation went really well last night. So all in all a very positive date with a nice hug at the end.

Looking forward to this weekend!!!

Well congratulations to Jozz and IAB..

...Jozz now can ride his bike all the time, being jobless, and IAB can cease riding his bike at all, now that he's a homeowner and will have no time to ride... :D

RE: find the squeak, I had to do that several weeks ago when my cat decided to bring a live mouse in off the porch :(

Haha! Just really good conversation, get to know each other type discussions, she was wearing a livestrong bracelet for all the right reasons, and talked about making plans to get together again.

did nothing last night. Today I've got a group ride at 3pm w/ Treesaw and a few others and then our club (SMBA) has a trail maintenance session at 4:45. After that it's beers with the gang. Oh, and tomorrow I go to get my new tattoo started!!

Left arm is getting a 1/2 sleeve from shoulder to elbow. It will be a traditional Japanese style sleeve centering around a Koi. I go to get the outline and shading done tomorrow (5 hour session) and then will get the color put in as $$ allows. My first new ink in 7 years!!! I'm sooo psyched!! :D

What? Mr. roll-his-own-lights buys a HID? I hope this means you get a team together for the race in September!

J
I know I feel like such a Traitor to my own cause
But I demoed an HID a predro's fest , and it just blew my Mind at how bright it was , and how litltle power it consummed. so I started doing research on making my own. And I found the actual manufacturer of the HID bulbs that all the systems use ( they all use the same Solar-tec bulb and Ballast ) and it was $50 for the Ballast and $160 for the Bulb! and with Being able to get the whole system with New batteries ( mine are getting old and showing it too ) for $270 , I decided to treat my self.

But I will use a Partial Home made on my Bars. Last week I got an Old Specilized Pro- Veiw for $10 on ebay. it only retailed for $29 , but it had a Nice 12W head lamp with both Helmet and Bar mount ,. what it 's problem was it was suppoes to use 5 D batteries. I just got a plug and hooked it up to one of my Nicads , and it runs Great ! ( by the Way Babs this is one you can use if you come and ride with us at night) as for the 24 Hr at lake placid , sorry , I Already have schedule conflicts. Sorry.
