I've never actually had a Jehova's Witness come to my door. When I lived in MI, I used to get Mormons at my door. They were always very nice and polite and I didn't actually mind all that much to be honest.

I dont believe in the going door to door deal. I believe in Jesus Christ and attend church on my own. And I've had the Jehovah people come to my door as well. Also a youth group I was in as a teen had X Jehovah's come in and tell us what it's really about... just a cult using the Christian belief system as a front... they dont really believe in JC, same with the mormons. It's Shame people lie about God like this for no reason. These are those people He talks about here.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

That's pretty funny.

I actually had a bunch of JW's come to my door one day.

JW's: We want to tell you the good word.
ME: (eyeing copies of the watchtower) I'm a buddhist.
JW's response: "Well buddhists believe in the bible too !?!"
ME: No, and your ignorance is such that I can't engage in any sort meaningful dialog with you or your group.

The mormoms and JWs kept pestering me until I resorted to lying and telling them I was a satanist and they couldn't show me theirs until they looked at mine. Haven't had a knock in five years.

Boston....outside of it....
I recently called a church and told them to stop leaving flyers on our door.

When the lady who answered said that they weren't doing anything wrong, I told her I was going to show up at their door with a bunch of old papers and tape them there....

haven't had a flyer since.

I think it is plain rude to knock on people's doors and basically tell them that their way is wrong.

I wonder if one can file a restraining order against religious groups?

I haven't had a religious group come by my house for a couple of years now. I used to, but then I would ask to exchange info and give them this:

http://www.normalbobsmith.com/publicity&promotion/banners_fliers_isgodreal.html

They stopped coming by, which is nice. My dog really hates Jehovah's Witnesses for some reason...
I haven't had them come by my place in a long time but the past few weekends I have helped several people move and let's just say a moving van to a missionary is like blood to a shark. My friends brother told the Mormon guys that if they got down on their hands and knees and prayed to god that Ohio State would beat Michigan by 28 points and it came true he would be at their church the next morning. They wouldn't, and as they walked away he challenged their faith in god and their conviction to save his soul. I damn near pulled an abdominal muscle trying to restrain the laughter.

The few folks I have had approach me here have been polite and friendly and knew when to leave me alone. When I lived in Cincinnati I had several door knockers that were so aggressive that I had to threaten them with violence or a call to the police to get them to leave.

We used to have the JW's come to our house almost every weekend. Usually we'd just pretend to not be home and they'd go away. Well I got tired of that and one day I decided to answer the door wearing nothing but a pair of tighty-whiteys. They showed up as a family entourage, a Mom, grandmom, and a kid so I could tell they were really uncomfortable talking to the guy in the nut huggers. I asked them all sorts of questions regarding their faith, etc. I made them talk to me for about 10 minutes until they excused themselves and left.

That was the last time they visited.
