Didn't see one of these threads yet so figured I'd get it going for today.

How is everyone doing?

My sons had hockey practice last night and then I hung around the rink for another hour after Liam's practice to sub for a Men's league team. Good times! Man I love the game of hockey! We won 10-2 last night. I didn't score but I racked up 5 assists on the night. Not too shabby.

I go back for another round of interviews for that Medical Center job I'm a finalist for this afternoon. I'm getting closer and closer. Wish me luck (again).

Tonight I'm gonna chill with Laura methinks.

Cheers,

MMcG

Good luck on your interview(s)!

Yesterday was my first day at the new job. Yeah, it took me 45 minutes to get to the office, but I'll be able to telecommute from either home or the Mesa (closer) office everyday but Mondays. Hell yea!

Know what that means? Today, I'm doing a little research for work while my laundry is in the washer. Then maybe for lunch I'll go out for a ride. Do a little more work this afternoon while I get the oil changed in my truck. Damn, this is gonna be good!

Out of my mind, back in a moment.
Yech. It's gray and VERY windy up here. Long day of class/break/lab/break/class today. I hate having two hour breaks in between classes...impossible to nap and then go to class awake.

Not much planned for today, just studying for an exam friday and one monday.

Congrats on the new gig macko - sounds like a great work schedule!
Thanks, I suppose I should mention that there will be plenty of days I'll have to be out in the field ... but that consists of backpacking through of the nicest mtn ranges in AZ (IMO).

Thank gawd I'm not being paid much, otherwise I'd almost feel bad about all of this. :o:

Morning. I went for a quick cx ride last night out by the bay. Hauling ass on gravel roads with skinny tires is fun. I saw tons of deer.

My wife is bringing back the truck today that her grandmother gave us. She called last night pretty upset about leaving her grandmother, knowing it was probably the last time she'd see her. :(

Morning. Chilly commute this morning...I'm still wearing gloves typing this. Didn't do much last night except run, make dinner and to bed early.

Wish I didn't have to be to work so early, there's a huge CX training ride every Wednesday down in Boulder and there's usually 30-40 riders that show up. Would be a cool thing to do first thing in the morning other than work.

It's finally sunny here so it'll be a nice fall lunchtime ride and commute home. Nothing planned for later :disgust:

Morning all!

Macko - Congrats on the new gig. Sounds like a dream to me!!!

MMcG - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you during your interview.

Douglas - If I didn't have a lesson tonight I would join you for a ride. Any ride plans for the weekend?

Busy morning here...lots of lessons, photocopying and now I am catching up on some paperwork and of course the :monkey: I am planning on starting up my own blog soon (name suggestions are being entertained) to keep me focused on training more rather than playing with the baby all the time ;)

Made pizza last night and marinated some chicken for tonight's dinner too so that's one less thing I need to do tonight!!!

Good luck with your interview Mark! :)

Barring any unforseen cicumstances with my medical exam or background checks I should be starting a new job on November 11th. Other than that not too much going on.

Tree whenever you get your blog up let me know, I'd love to read it.

Have a good day monkies! :)

I mowed the lawn last night, hopefully for the last time this year. Probably not, given that I gave the mower a good cleaning and got it ready to sit for a few months.:bonk:

Riding tonight w/ some guys that are much better than me in the Freeride department. Hoping to pick up some good pointers and maybe borrow a little of their confidence.... *fingers crossed* - hopefully no ER visits.

I think a mudhunny should accompany you.

How's that goin btw???:clue:
I have been doing a bunch of casual rides w/a beginner mudhunny or group rides (lots of waiting), tonight I just want to go solo and make the legs and lungs feel the burn

.
