They should just tap phones without wiretaps and read emails without you knowing it. That would be a much better way to safeguard our freedom...
You forget, that already happened under Bush.

Both sides smear each other... I don't give a rip about Karl Rove.
But it is ok for the government to read and keep my emails.
You assume that I like it the way it is. Maybe I do and maybe I don't. That isn't the point. What I don't want is the government running our entire heath care.

What was the POS thread I started? The joke about Pelosi?

:thumb:
They are asking you to voluntarily send the right wing BS to the white house so they can debunk it for you, because clearly your to lazy to Google it your self or this thread wouldn't even exist. :tinfoil:

They're not "reading and keeping" your emails. This isn't illegal wiretapping. The government has no access to your inbox. YOUR FRIENDS ARE FORWARDING YOUR EMAILS TO THE GOVERNMENT.

Surprise: the moment you send out a digital document, it's out there in the world. It belongs to others. And if they choose to post it publicly or forward it to someone else, you already gave up your right to keep it secret. All the administration is doing is asking people to help his team find publicly available but FALSE information, so they can address it. They don't care who originally sent it, who forwarded it, any of that. All they want is to know what the smear campaign is, so they can post it publicly (that's right, give the lies a bigger, broader forum) and then debate it.

Are you opposed to public information or debate?

...incrementally. One step at a time.
I wish. We desperately need a single-payer system. Thanks to dumbasses like you that actually buy the healthcare lobbies bull**** we're sticking with the same system we have, and mildly restructured tax code, and are doomed to spiralling healthcare costs and decreasing quality of care, under the guise of "free-market."

You're fished in, because you have an ideology and can understand about 3 economic words. Stop hurting America.

:stupid:

My Employer's self funded health insurance put the screws to me the one time I needed it the most. Thank God I already had a lawyer, (not at fault motorcycle accident) or I would have been fvcked. I think it was Kidwoo who said it, "but Fvck the insurance companies" (and the self funded insurance programs that emulate them)

I'm going to forward scrotlicker's profile to the whitehouse. He will undoubtedly be getting a visit from a government hired communist black muslim.

Whoa there, Quixote. Quick history lesson: under Rove, the Republicans figured out they could launch cheap effective underground campaigns by simply making things up but allowing them to spread organically. During the presidential campaign, Obama's team very effectively fought this with a site called fightthesmears.com.

In the midst of this healthcare battle, some of the most powerful lobbies in the nation (healthcare and pharma) are trying the same smear tactics in an effort to dupe you, maintain the status quo and possibly even secure more taxpayer subsidies for their corporations. Obama is simply using the same method that worked well in the past: air the claim, and debunk it. It takes a citizen who reads one of the crappy forwards you've just sent (like that other POS thread you started) to say to themself "this looks like a pile of lies" to send it in, and if it can be debunked it will be. No one is going to show up at your door about anything you forward, except maybe some annoyed friends to tell you "stop raping my inbox with those tinfoil hat bull**** forwards."

But hey, if you want to keep being a tool of the healthcare lobby and hand your taxpayer money over to companies that exists to squeeze the most possible money out of you for the least possible care, you have the freedom to do so.
You forget, that already happened under Bush.

You are right. It's already out there.
This way they can compile it in one place with less effort.
Sort it.
Analyze it and spin it. It is brilliant.

I love how you all trust this government so much. What in the past 16 or so years has the government, left or right, done to show you that you can trust that they have your best interest in mind?

I like how you blame me. I had nothing to do with the health care situation we are in. But I will tell you right now that giving it away doesn't solve anything. Who pays for free health care?

What do you think happens when someone has to declare bankrupcy and go on welfare because they can't afford the staggering bills that their health insurance doesn't cover?

You ever hear of lead, follow, or get out of the way? Get out!

That's the second or third time you've been told this. So either drool on a different side now so that we know that you heard it or recognize my issue with your previous post that I pointed out.

You have a very strong opinion but very little if anything but propaganda on which to base it.

Keep whatever insurance you have. No one gives a shlt. Including the people who wrote this bill.

You just advocated for the status quo. Of course I blame you.

(Actually, it wasn't just you. I lumped you in with millions of others who, despite have zero understanding of the actual problem, hear the words "free market," hork it down like a bass on a mealworm, and get suddenly passionate and dance on command like trained monkeys. I swear it's Pavlovian. I could call grinding up babies for cattle-feed "the free market solution" and you zealots would hop to attention and defend it to your deaths against "government intervention")

Not only did I just point you to the exact use for these emails, but even if I and history are wrong the best you could come up with for the unspeakable evils Obama would do with the information was "analyze it and spin it." Oh the humanity.

I don't need to trust the government on this one. There's nothing bad they can do. This is meaningless. In the meantime, both sides of government and some very powerful lobbies are commitment unspeakable acts of horror on our economy and healthcare, and you're letting this distract you.

I have health insurance through my employer. Despite that, it cost me $100 for a visit for a sinus infection. 5 years ago, it cost me $25.00.

I welcome a single payer system to compete with for profit private health insurance.

I work with some die-hard right wingers. They are also Jesus freaks and believe that the current administration is evil.
The majority of my family shares this view. They are terrified of the new health care plan, and just about anything else that's happening right now.

On the other side, most of the people I ride bikes with are more left leaning and liberal.

Me...well, I'm not sure. I'm pretty confused right now because, every day, I hear "we're all doomed" and I read on Ridemonkey "No, everything is fine, these right wingers are just nuts".
So...yeah. I'm not sure what to think. Without getting all tinfoil-hat-like, I'm not sure who to trust for information.
Just felt like throwing this out there.

Weak point.

And what is your issue with my previous post? I had drool in my eyes.

No, it didn't. I guess I don't need health insurance then.
Well it kinda did happen to me. But instead of drowning in a pool of my own tears I did what I had to do to survive. Now I pay for my own health insurance and the rest of my bills.

I don't get you guys. Why is it up to us (you and me) working folks to pay for those that don't want to take care of themselves.

Free health care? I'll take it.
Free money for a piece of crap car that chose not to take care of? I'll take it.
No money down mortgage that I can't really afford? I'll take it.
Run my company into the ground, I get a bailout? I'll take it.

Where is the money to pay for this coming from?

Lead, follow or get out of the way? Tell that to the slacker riding on our tax paying coat tails. Unlike the rest of you sheep I don't follow anyone.

The only thing that distracted me was the lashing I got from all the libs in this thread attacking me for having a different opinion about something your beloved government decided to make a big deal about. THEY are the ones that made public service announcement about forwarding my hate emails to them. I'm just not a big fan of the government getting into my sh!t. Whether they do something "bad" or good with it doesn't matter. The fact that they want to collect data on us using each other is wrong.

" In the meantime, both sides of government and some very powerful lobbies are commitment unspeakable acts of horror on our economy and healthcare"

We agree on that.

I know I'm a little fish in a big pond of liberal mindset in here. My intention wasn't to get into a heated debate. I did go back and look through some other threads and realized that this is not the place to post an opinion that isn't completely liberal.

You guys are tough and very well read in you "propaganda". I will have do the same if I want to contend with the likes of you.

:)

What you're catching flak over is the fact that your opinions are based on faulty information, not the fact that differs from someone elses.

If you don't want anyone getting an email from you then don't send one.

And if you do, the purpose is NOT to keep tabs on you in an effort to somehow control you in the future.

Yes I'm a Jesus freak. Yes I'm conservative. No I don't think we should keep going down the road we have been. Yes the current administration, in addition to the past 2, scare the crap out of me because we may lose what little freedom we have left. No I'm not a "right" wing nut, just a realist.

Really? Don't send my opinion via email? Explain why it is ANYBODY else's business besides me and and the recipient.
