Hi I just bought a gopro and am having trouble editing the footage. I tried putting it on my computer but windows movie maker does not recognize mpeg-4 so then I downloaded a converter to convert it into a format that windows did understand but after making the video and uploading it onto pinkbike the video would always freeze half way through.

The big question is what do other people with gopros use to edit the footage that keeps the quality?

If I am just using GoPro footage I'll just use Quicktime to edit it. GoPro recommends this because it keeps the quality of the footage the best. When you have to upload footage into an editing program it looses a little quality right off the bat. I found a nice article about it, and the way that you export the video also highly affects the quality.
