So, on the System6, I've been riding D/A hubs spoked to RR 1.1 rims. Good, solid wheelset. TX4000 wheels.

Last week I ordered up some Edge Composites rims - 28h, 38mm deep, carbon tubular. And today I ordered up the hubshells...

King cross hubshells in black. Going with an all black wheelset...which is new for me.

This set weighs in around 1520 with 68mm rims, according to VeloNews...

I figure mine will be about the same.

Why Cross hubsells? Larger flanges...I figure it's going to make for a stiffer, stronger wheel. I like large flanges. Cost was the same as the Classic hubshells. And when I get my Monster X built up again, I'll have another wheelset for it.

Sweet, let's see some pics when they get built up! Yours should be a bit lighter though, yes? Since they're lower profile?
Black spokes too I assume, yes? That'll look bad ass!

Nice, I wish I could talk myself into going tubular. I just can't pull the trigger though.
I would just hold out and go tubeless, its the wave of the future :) most of my cross, and road team, is on tubeless (we all race tubeless in XC). Nice wheels!
