More than 1,400 mail processing supervisor and management positions are also being eliminated.

Wow, you know it's bad when government subsidized jobs are being cut. Now, if they would stop pouring money into Amtrack and let both of them compete fairly in the open market, we could shave some off that trillion dollar deficit.

There are a few private prisons in Australia. From what I understand the government is probably regretting that decision.
