graphic design : font ?

Probably a custom font, in the Copperplate Graphic family

There are a handfull of fonts that are very similar - do you need the exact one? Back in the late 90s, the video game Diablo used a similar font, and, from what I saw, that's what really sparked the interest in that kind of typeface. But as was said earlier, it does seem to have a lot of copperplate in it. It wouldn't be hard for someone good with Photoshop to use a fairly standard deviation of copperplate and tweak it to get that type of result.

If the link doesn't work, check Emigre.com and look at their typeface selection for Exocet.
Either the designer artificially extended the typeface or used a badly rendered knock-off.

My first thought was Mason by Emigre, but Steve is right: it's a horizontally scaled Exocet.
