Hey all you gravity riders in So Cal, there is a new event happening the weekend before Sea Otter up at the soon to open Stump Grinder Dirt Club. The date is April 12th for Dual Slalom and the 13th for the new DH course. No shuttle charge, lower than normal entry fees. A bit of cash for the experts and pros, of course the more that make it to the race the more cash there will be since it's a payback deal.

The main reason to do this is a prep race for Sea Otter and to see the 2 new courses that will be used at the Santa Ynez National in May.

The race flyer is here http://www.ridesb.com/images/formsmaps/gravityshootout_flyer.pdf

and the entry form is here http://www.ridesb.com/images/formsmaps/gravityshootout_entryform.pdf

We hope of course to have a great turn out!

See you there!

Mike, sounds like an awesome event. I will definitely try to make it up. Your links are broken for some reason though.

So this Saturday we had a great turnout of gravity riders willing to work on the DH and Dual Slalom courses! Thanks EVERYONE!

The DH course has a line and many features and is race-able for the Gravity Shootout next weekend http://www.ridesb.com/gravityshootout.htm

Also the Dual is pretty well dialed and our old-school/used slalom breakaway gates are almost all installed. Final grooming will be taking place all week long.

The race or the "pre-Otter" as some have been calling it should be a ton of fun and a cool time for all. Remember the entry fee is low, no charge for the shuttle, and camping is only $5 a night!

I hope that we have a great turnout and that you decide to join us!

Here are some pics ...

Hecktone,

Great flyer and details, but I do have a couple of questions:

(1) Will the awards for Slalom be the same as DH?

(2) For the cash paybacks, I see that you determined how much will be given back, but how many places deep will you award, and what percentage will be given to each place?

Prizes 3 deep, same format for both races.
