interesting seatpost configuration, is that to prevent tire buzz or for a shorter cockpit?
I'd say it is to allow full travel without having the tires touch the seat tube.
That's a common problem with long travel + full seat tubes

You know what'd be cool? A set of ridiculously wide, poorly made rims in that color. It'd be a bonus if they were the heaviest rims in the world.

Yes, looking at my army green bike, the past yellow team bike, and this neon green bike, I have to wonder if those guys at IH have been checked for colorblindness recently.

AHAHAHAHAHA!

Not only that, but wouldn't it be cool if a tire company would step forward and make a tire wide enough to fit it, like maybe around 3"??? It could be the heaviest tire ever, with sketchy traction, and the best part is you could run it at like 8psi, which would allow you to dent your neon-green rims to hell!!!

Doublewides: the sarcasm will remain, long after your rims are squares.

C'mon, doublewide jokes are as timeless as 'one for freeriding' and rootb...

nevermind.

Look at it this way, with screaming colors every magazine-reader and movie-watcher will KNOW every time a IH-bike flies by. Maybe that's the point?

DH frame manufacturers should concentrate on getting their product to be first one to cross the finish line, instead of painting them in eyeball-melting neon colors.

The IF is a winner already though, so I see they went the extra mile to get their bike noticed :D

why do you think it's green?? it's scientifically proven by sam himself that green is 5 seconds faster. while it was previously thought that yellow was the fastest, through extensive testing and research it's turned out that bright green is significantly faster.

rumor: IH is currently working on a different shade of brown which is supposedly much MUCH stronger, strong enough for even the biggest huck. so far the strongest is a reddish-brown with micro air-bubbles imbedded in the paint for structural integrity, but research is ongoing and will have to see what happens. ;)

I read somewhere that last years yellow was that color because it looks better/is easier to spot in magazines and vids. Guess the new green one is even better...maybe they do R&D on colors that way?? :-D

Sounds clever, if it's true. Even though I wouldn't ride that one myself(in that color, give me a black one and we're talking!)

No, actually its between 1988-1990 was when dayglow was at its peak.
I wouldn't cut it off at the 90's, Klein had similar colors for along time, and 92-95 Trek had alot of bikes with fluorescents too. I still have a sunrise linear fade Klein Rascal I use for a SS commuter  haven't gotten hit on it yet!

I think that color is sweet, but i'm not sure i'm fast enough to ride it.

i like it. i just recently inherited (for free) my first road bike and immediately converted it to a beater city commuter bike... sort of inspired by the sunday, but i doubt it will take big hits ;)

now, it's either too ugly and/or noticeable for someone to want to steal.

I do love the matt black on the SGS DH team frame, but the yellow and green aren't pretty.

Just not my cup of tea, unlike the the V10 trans blue

that green has gotta be the hottest color out there and that bike is definitely one of the top rides to have - last season and for seasons to come.
