So I got an assignment...leaving Germany next fall for 14 months in Greenland. Wife and kids will head home (Once we figure out just where that is...) and I will head out alone. Going to take a bike, just dont know which one. Probably not the roadie...

No hockey, no skiing, but porn is legal, so I got that going for me, which is nice.

Porn isn't legal in Germany?

I have to believe there is skiing to be had in Greenland. I mean, the island has mountains, and snow!

One last deployment before you get the boot? Nice work, 14 months is a bit much. I hope you get a couple trips home in that mess.

No, I didnt piss anyone off. At least, no one has admitted as such.

Hoping the follow on takes us to the Springs or the area.

Porn is very legal here...my point was Greenland is not SWA, which is under the cruel thumb of General Order #1...

Very windy there...207 mph surface winds have been reported.

A fat bike...hmmm...a fat bike...hmmm...HEY HONEY!!!!!!?

I find the Geology of Greenland to be utterly fascinating. The Ungava fault zone and the areas around Davis Strait must be awesome to visit. The sea floor is actually spreading apart in the adjacent Labrador Sea. Nuuk faces the Labrador Sea.

At the very least, the move should give you license to wear Viking garb (including the axe) for 14 straight months. Might help things in the bedroom too.

As for bikes, contact Trek and see if they will make one of their little heated tents that actually affixes to bike so you and your suspension can operate in 213* Kelvin temps.

probably inventing european snow cones and they'll title them ice cones get sued from snow cones. Reason, font distribution proportion familiarity and patent infringement. He'll counter fight it stating that ice was invented in Greenland so they're grandfathered past patents. Then their action suit will settle eventually completing in the merger of frozen slush cones. ...... post edit militree is always ahead of me

So my adventure has been cancelled by the cruel hand of fate...I suppose. Instead, I will be heading back to California...up north near Tahoe. Dint know how I feel about that just yet. I was looking forward to Greenland...but Tahoe? Hmmm...
