What is the best tool for grinding steel dropouts (lengthening the slots)? I could do it ugly-style with my Dremel, but am wondering what would be the proper method.
My frame has mucho clearance, but I run a 1.9 tire and would like to try a shorter cs length.

you can get a large grinding disc to put on a circular saw. i did my dropouts that way....

I just used a dremel for mine. Took em from 3/8 to 14mm. Looks like crap but hasn't given me any trouble yet.

Like alex said, if its steel you can make em sloppy and they'll still work fine, just make sure there even, no hard science is needed
