I have a '98 GT LTS-1 frame that's developed a crack in the downtube at the BB. I seem to remember GT having a lifetime warranty on this kind of stuff, and have heard that the new owners of GT were actually honoring the old warranties with new I-Drive frames. The GT website is devoid of any warranty info or contact names. MY LBS is no longer a GT dealer and of no help.

Anybody know anything about this?

is that Pacific will only honor GT frame warranty claims with proof of purchase within the past 12 months. That being true, you'd be SOL with a 4 year old frame. When Pacific bought GT, they were not legaly bound to honor any Schwinn or GT warranty issues.

GT had a 3 year warrentee on full suspension bikes and a lifetime on hardtails.

As stated above, your probably out of luck. It still wouldn't hurt to call them and ask if they have a front triangle laying around. Heck, maybe they have my old LTS frame that I snapped the chainstay on.

If you are looking to upgrade. The Giant NRS feels very similar to the LTS.

Yep I'm in the same boat! Sucks.....and who would have thought that GT would go belly up...

That's 2 bikes I have owned that have gone under.......GT and Outland.
