Guarnier and Myers Win Women's Prestige Cycling Series after Top Performance at Casca

<p>U.S. National Road Champion Megan Guarnier took third place overall in the six-day Cascade Classic this week, capping off her success with a fifth place finish in today’s final Awbrey Butte Circuit Race. U26-rider Lindsay Myers also put up a top result, taking second place overall in the Best Young Rider competition. Team TIBCO teammate Amanda Miller finished the Classic in sixth place for the general classification.</p><p>

“We are pleased with how the Team performed throughout the Cascade Classic,” said Team TIBCO European directeur sportif Angela van Smoorenburg. “We consistently had riders in the top ten, and the Team worked really well together to help put Megan on the podium for the overall.”</p><p>

Guarnier and Myers’ top performances at Cascade helped th em clinch first place in the Women’s Prestige Cycling Series. The Series is a national-level competition that measures the overall success of women cyclists in top-tier National Racing Calendar (NRC) events that included the Redlands Classic, Nature Valley Grand Prix and Cascade Classic. Guarnier won the Individual Competition, while Myers was crowned as the Best Young Rider.</p>
