difference between TP and Pistola is just shock length? Here is my plan for my TP...
150mm fork. Cause slack is good.
120mm DPS shock (50mm stroke). For XC shoulder season
130mm Ohlins coil (55mm stroke). For Alpine mid summer

Stroke, not eye to eye. 210x50 vs 210x55difference between TP and Pistola is just shock length?
thanks for clarifying for me.Stroke, not eye to eye. 210x50 vs 210x55
And, people tend to run 140/150mm travel forks, which of course slacks it out.
Almost how I run mine, I just leave the fork at 140.Here is my plan for my TP...

That was pretty much what I did in 2019 also. Pistola with a DPX2 or ElevenSix and a Pike Ultimate.Almost how I run mine, I just leave the fork at 140.
Any hint what changes are in the pipeline?Out of stock, coming back soon, even better!
Let me know if Dustin doesn't have anything for you... I can ask there on your behalf no problem. Thanks, I'll give him a call. I know the FB page is a good resource, but I deleted that years ago.
The big news is that the new ones go up to 11. So they are one louder, since the current ones are 10/10. But when you are at 10 on your bike, where can you go from there? With the new ones, when you need that extra push off the cliff, what do you do? Now you can go to eleven.Any hint what changes are in the pipeline?
He said he had to ask if it was OK to sell them, and will call me back. He said he could also get me a replacement chainstay protector (I've got one of the ones with the wimpy adhesive that's peeling off) once those arrive. No huge rush on it, but I'd like it by late February. Those geo tweaks sound great too.Let me know if Dustin doesn't have anything for you... I can ask there on your behalf no problem.

Mainly that means a few mm longer chainstay, a few mm lower bb, and slightly easier to find shock hardware sizing.
^^ Hell yeah. Here is my plan for my TP...

i too am interested in this. entertaining shock ideas.^^ Hell yeah.
Tell me about the Ohlins. I'm looking at that myself (Have Pistola with 140mm up front and DPX2 now which is awesome for our trails). Ohlins USA has a recommended shock for the TP which is the normal 210x50mm but I'd want the 210x55. Is there a specific "tune" for the TP that I would need to ask Ohlins to put into the longer stroke shock or will any 210x55 TTX22 be OK?
Thanks for any insights.
well, I ran my Gnarvana with the standard TTX tune all summer and it felt truly awesome. Worth noting that I am 200+lbs, so if you are light, the stock tune, especially on rebound, might be a touch firm. But other than that, after a lifetime riding Avalanche tuned suspension along with all the off the shelf stuff, I really really appreciate the Ohlins stuff, and will start with the stock tune at 55mm stroke again.^^ Hell yeah.

cant wait to give it a go on the little big bike setup.
he's busy, trying to figure out what's wrong with his brakes.God damn it, where's Udi when you need him? I need someone to post a 5 paragraph long treatise as to why the Ohlins sux.
Nothing anymore after buying those Trickstuff. So no excuses for him.he's busy, trying to figure out what's wrong with his brakes.
