I would happily do that, I've ridden that stretch all the way up over Loveland Pass before on a MTB when I'd come over Argentine Pass on a loop. But I've always had sufficient persons and vehicles to shuttle this ride.
I don't know if I'd "happily" do that, but given enough bros and goes. Sure.

Oh and Montezuma. Yep. The best is when it had rained and you try to splash your said bros in the standing puddles. HA

Forward rivnut for my bottle cage under the TT is slightly loose. Tightened it slightly with the bolt through a nut trick, but I can tell it's going to need replacing. Awkward to get a drill in there to drill the old one out...

Drivetrain clearance question...

Eewings on a revved v2 pistola. Cranks setup for 52mm chain line per the CC instructions (2.5mm bb spacer, the spindle spacer, and a 3mm offset chainring). It's always been close to the swingarm, but after the last ride I noticed this:

I reverified the spacing per the specs, and everything is right but obviously still too close

Hard to tell from the angle but it's about 2mm of clearance.

Obviously I want to address this. I have 2 x 1mm bb spacers, I figure start with one. Before I toss it on just wanted to check that's the right solution if there's not something I missed, or if anyone else had this issue previously.

Curious, as I had the exact opposite issue with my EE wings, it was spaced too far out, and I couldn’t get it closer. I ended up installing a non boost chainring, which spaced it in perfectly.
Maybe try a superboost chainring, ( 0 offset?) if you can’t space it out with just spacers?
However, I think you are on the right track.

Yea, I wanna push it out enough to get some more clearance without messing up the chain line.

What bb were you running? That's the only other factor I could think of that may vary enough. I've got an old e13 on there right now. Although I do have a wheels mfg one I could measure for comparison.

is there any chance your swingarm has shifted over itself?

Maybe if I let you work on my bike. :homer:

Most likely culprit is some manner of detritus got wedged between the ring and swingarm while pedaling. Especially considering I've been riding it most of the year and this is the first time incident.

IIRC, I added an extra 2.5mm spacer drive side, in addition to the one that comes with Eewings, because the chainring was always so close. I also had to add an extra 1-2mm spacer on the OneUp guide to move it out too.

Yeah, I think Andeh got it. In addition, not sure how hard you ride or your weight, blah blah. You might be torque-ing (twerking? HA) your bike giving you some rub that you noticed. You never know.

Just cuz it's up to spec in the bike stand actually doesn't mean shit in the real world. In my experience.

When in doubt, space it out?

220lbs without gear. that thought crossed my mind, but I kinda wrote it off as I didn't assume carbon would flex that much so close to the main pivot (plus their is the crossmember support on the opposite side of the chainstay).

well yes, this is the bike industry after all. there's how it "should" work, then there's how it "does" work.

update: spaced the drive side BB out an extra 2mm (2.5mm to 4.5mm) and while the clearance has improved, it has also introduced the issue where backpedaling in the largest cog causes the chain to skip/drop. will likely bump this back down to 3.5mm.
