Was it a photo of a cracked out looking Amy Winehouse? Those seem to be in demand.

Good work either way though. Ya homo.

not exactly sure what issue it will be in, but i will let you know. it was a Neil Young shot that i took last December. it's gonna be pretty small, though (1/16th of a page or so).

Don't downplay it. Surely you've heard size doesn't matter.
Photographers always have an inferiority complex about size. Lens size, camera size, sensor size, aperture size, print size... It's all we can talk about.

Congrats, narlus! Did you submit work to them or were you contact about it?

there was a call out for a Neil Young shot that one of the photo editors mailed to a list of people, one of whom i know. he knew i shot neil and forwarded the email to me, and i got in touch from there. hopefully i'll be added to the distribution list :D esp as i've dealt w/ the same person before (i sold an Espers photo to her when she worked @ acoustic guitar mag).

Charlie Robison said it too -

"Well, I wish I had my picture on the Rolling stone today
I wish that the Enquirer spread a rumor that I was gay
I wish I had some buddies, some movie stars and such".

Congratulations! That's awesome!!

Not sure the magazine is worthy of your exceptional work but it's still so cool I'll actually buy the issue when you tell us which one it's in.

Send them a swervedriver photo and tell them they are cvnts.

Otherwise, cool.

I hope they don't pay you in free advance cd's from sh*tty bands.

Congrats. You should be a staff photog there. Seriously.

We got some pics in rollingstone.com (but not the print version)

http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2008/01/25/live-neurosis-and-mastodon-blow-the-doors-off-a-temple/

Your pics were better though. Next time make sure yours get in there, slacker!
that's funny...those shots were taken by my buddy Jason. he goes to Northeastern and i met him in '97 @ various shows in boston. he landed a co-op job between semesters @ rolling stone, and will be back in town in Sept i think. we were just comparing notes on Boris; he hopes to have some of those shots in a print issue (apparently David Fricke was there to review the show).

i actually applied to Retna (stock agency) a couple of weeks ago but never heard a response back.

Sort of the print version of MTV. Everything BUT music. I stopped reading it years ago
