Great, now we get to hear more liberals blathering on about a topic that they obviously have no clue about. Heard Andrea Mitchell yesterday talking about the kickback on a "military weapon like this" and whether it compared to an M16 that she fired at an army base. The gun expert on the show didn't have the heart to tell her that one was an assault rifle that fires a 7.62 round while the other is an SMG that fires a 9mm handgun bullet... Although to his credit he did start talking about whether it might've been an open or closed-bolt Uzi, and that one had a significantly higher kick than the other.

“It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or otherwise dispose of any firearm or ammunition to any person knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that such person (1) is under indictment for, or has been convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year.”

Assuming Perry’s concealed carry permit has been or will be revoked, he can “reapply two years after the date of revocation,

Our new study on the consequences of gun violence in six states has gotten a lot of attention for its findings about the cost of hospital care and who pays for it. And with good reason—the financial costs of gun violence are enormous. In 2010, national costs totaled nearly $670 million, most of which is paid for by the public, either through public insurance programs like Medicaid or through the public subsidy of uncompensated care costs for the uninsured.

But our report touches on far more than just money. Our research also revealed new information about the victims of firearm assault who sought care at a hospital, including the range of hospital mortality rates and disparities across race, ethnicity, and gender. These factors may not be attached to an imposing price tag, but their societal costs are just as significant.

In May, I reported on a North Carolina restaurant which posted a prominent “No Guns Allowed” sign and was promptly robbed by armed gunmen the very next week. And 3 Jack-in-the-Box locations suffered robberies and a shooting within 2 weeks of their new corporate policy “requesting” no guns on site. Retail giant Target saw 3 of its stores targeted by criminals, within days of enacting an anti-gun policy.

So it’s great to see when a business goes against the media and well-heeled activists and stands up for the gun rights of their customers.
