Not sure if anybody knew of this story but it's local for us here in central PA.
This woman made national news last year when she decided to attend her child's soccer game with a Glock 26 visibly strapped to her waist. She was arrested for it and then wanted to sue the DA because i guess really she didn't break any laws but it certainly pissed a lot of people off who were at the game that day.

Anyway, she was shot dead last night in a what is allegedly a murder-suicide.

Just ironic that's all. So ironic that my gun supporting boss decided to go out of his way to mention this to some of us this morning.

Ironic and sad for sure.

She acknowledged the publicity had detrimentally affected her life. "I have read all sorts of slander, personal attacks, and even threats toward me, my family, and, yes, some specific to my children," she said in the interview.
How is exercising your right to carry a gun worth putting your children in potental harm with these threats from the community? It would seem that the stand she was taking was more important than the welfare of her children.

"The publicity surrounding me as a person makes me feel awkward and uncomfortable. As stated previously, I am willing to talk to the press because the issue is so important, but the focus on me, personally, has been difficult because it simply is not about me," she said.
I might argue it she made about her when she refused to use common sense when carrying a firearm.

"Just the fact that he was wrong is evidenced by the fact that my license was restored to me. ... I am a victim of Sheriff Michael DeLeo’s. I am a victim of those in society as a direct result of his actions as well. The way people look at me sometimes when I am out running errands, I feel as if I am wearing a scarlet letter, and really it’s a Glock 26."
I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that she had a chronic case of biscuit poisoning (as my mother would say)

Too bad she was able to breed before being killed.
I know, but my understanding is that for DA's, the requirement is removing yourself from the gene pool, I don't recall seeing any clauses about having already procreated (although that kinda does defeat the purpose).

Riding past the morgue.
Irony FTW!

Whats the saying about those living by the sword being destined to die by the sword? Its hard for me to feel sympathy for anyone except the kids in this case.

Wow, to think I keep my Glock in my waistband at my daughters soccer games seems silly now. I think I'll just hold it from now on.
