Started riding bmx again and going to get a new frame soon. Its between a Standard STA 500 OX or a MacNeil Miron frame. The MacNeil has gyro tabs.

I don't run a gyro now, but am thinking of it too make bar spins easier(or at least I tell myself they will be). I first thought that tabs would be cool, but someone mentioned them bending and such. Couldn't I then just grind them off and use a regular mount?

How would you bend them? With the place they are located on the frame I'd think it's very unlikely you'd break them ever.

I have a normal STA and its a very comfortable bike..but I think im going to buy a Macneil Ruben 2004. I also think that the gyro tabs wont bend, and even if tehy do by some odd chance, you can just cut and grind. Ive seen people do it before.
