I'm looking for a mid-to-high end rear hub. Looking for more engagements than the standard shimano hub, and something that is sturdy. For the moment, it will be run as a singlespeed on my street/dj bike, but I may decide to run gears again at some point on it and through it on a downhill bike. I was thinking the trials version of the 10mm Hadley with a bolt on axle. I'm not sure how the bolt on axle works exactly, and I'm concerned that if it's just a skewer with nuts on the end that goes through a hollow axle, will the forces from pedalling and the chain tugs (horizontal drop-outs) bend the skewer? Or is that not how the bolt-on Hadley axle works. Other hubs I'd consider are a Chris King with fun-bolts (although I think this will be more expensive once I factor in the SST freehub body and the HD axle). Open to other ideas, but if the Hadley has no worries about bending anything when using it with chain tugs on a SS, then I will go with it.

Thanks!

Thanks guys. The other hub I'm thinking about is a Chris King, but I think it will end up costing me a lot more after I get funbolts, the heavy duty axle, and the steel freewheel body. Plus I'll lose the flexibility of the different axles. As well, I hear the availability of the Kings is a little slim at the moment.
