So this bar in Rochester advertized that Derek Jeter was going to be there last night. All these morons went down there and stood in line, and the cover charge was doubled from $5 to $10.

Except Jeter never showed, he went to the bar next door

What, did Jeter just go to the wrong bar, or did that first bar just lie to everyone?

I'm guessing Jeter was in town visiting friends or whatever, and didn't feel like dealing with 1000 morons who either want his autograph or want to tell him what he should have done differently in the ALCS. So he threw out a decoy.

Thing is, the bar specifically said he was going to be in the VIP section with his friends, and wouldn't be signing autographs. But all these asshats showed up anyway, just so they could look at him? Sad.

I dunno...sounds kind of crappy to me. Why couldnt Jeter just show up quietly instead of having to advertise it? Eh, whatever. Who am I to complain about Yankee fans getting the shaft?
