Wow, the trailer is awesome. The crappy thing is now I'm going to spend 40% of my time trying to figure out all the little crap about the game...there goes my productivity!
I highly recommend checking out the video...

Remember that the trailer does not = final product. The E3 trailer for Halo 2 for example.

No sir, i certainly didn't.

My buddy at E3 called me freaking out about the trailer. I am DLing now on my 360 in sexy HD. MMM, HD halo.

They announced a TON of really cool crap. Rumour at the show is the hd dvd drive will be $100 msrp. Current standalone players are $1000. DAMN.

Well, halo 2 looks like complete crap at 480p compared to the rest of my games running in 1080i. I was floored running it after Ghost recon. I cannot wait for a native 1080i halo.

They announced the wireless headset as well...about time. Now i really need to get the play anc charge kit.

Oh also - We won't ruin the content of our short presentation by describing it frame by frame, but we will note that everything you're seeing here is being rendered in real-time on the Xbox 360, using the current version of our Halo 3 game engine. The HDR lighting, self-shadowing, GPU-run particle system and many other effects should make it intact (and more) to our final game.

That is a good sign. It is not pre rendered via a la gears of war.

I think Ghost Recon is one of the better examples of well-done graphics out there. It's not super high-end graphics, but the detail and the atmosphere they create is unreal. I would love to play it on the 360.

I just dled the trailer onto my xbox and unfortunately even though my big tv is only s-video it still looked amazing. I definetly want a hd tv though.

I'm not sure exactly. The drive won't open properly, and I got a new drive and it still does the same thing. I took it all apart and went over the whole thing and didn't see any loose connections. A buddy of mine had one that broke as well, I think I am going to see if he will let me scavenge parts from it. I think I will try just installing my new dvd drive and hardrive into his existing console. His had a different problem so I think I might be able to get it running again. Its been broken since the end of last summer :mumble:
