My money is on Abbas going down in a hail of gunfire within a weeks time. Hell, it may be the only way to get the retard out of office...any other bets?
It's amusing...from reading Fatah history and doctrine, they seem much more extreme than Hamas. Granted, that's not to say Hamas isn't ruthless and brutal at times...
Seriously. Where else in the world can you get elected out of office and then just say "nah, I'm good" when the elected tries to move into said office?
I think Hamas will take the fight to the West Bank, at which point the IDF will intervene and then everyone will die.
Yes and no. Fatah is a little like Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson. They figured out a way to take a crappy situation with exploited people and then exploit them a little more to line their own pockets.
Hamas does have that social welfare structure, which is admirable, but at the same time the fact that a bunch of nutcase religious murderers can do a little good doesn't offset the fact that they are a bunch of nutcase religious murderers.
Well it's the funkalistic,
the blunt I twist it,
the slammafied, buddahfied
funk on your discus.
Oh what you missed us
you've got to bare witness
catch a hoe and another hoe
Merry Christmas.
Yes I'll smoke this
straight off the roach clip,
I wrote ****
for the blunted ones to approach it.
For one motion
make you sway like the ocean
the herb is more than just a powerful potion.
What's the commotion yo,
I'm not ****in' around
people learnin' bout what they smokin'.
The oven's on high when I roast a Quale
tell Bill Clinton to go and inhale
exhale now you feel the funk of the thai
when I fell the effects,

The thing that killed me was how happy the Bush administration was that the Palestinians held elections and then they were dismayed that they elected Hamas into government
Yeh, in the last WC that was held in the US you were very keen on that the opposing teams didn't have the same colours on them in any way, like the game is soo fast that you can't make out who's who..
Not sure about the elections but I think the presidency wasn't up for vote, only the prime ministership. Still I find it all too obvious that Abbas is more interested in keeping the power within Fatah, at the expence of his people that elected their main antagonist.

Same here, from both the previous Social Democratic gvmnt and the current joint liberal coop. It really iritates me that the mainstream media plays along and doesn't reflect on the bias comming out from the parliament and that a democraticly elected gvmnt and the whole Palestinian people are made to pay with sanctions and silence.
