Tyler Hamilton smoked the field at the Olympics to take the gold in the Time Trial. He can dedicate this one to his dog, Tugboat.
Ekimov took silver, and Bobby Julich grabbed the bronze.
In the women's race, the US also took a silver to give the US its best ever showing in the Olympics in road cycling ever. Sweet.

is this going to be televised?
NBC will probably show 20 minutes of it tonight, then show three hours of swimming, fencing, water polo and pistol shooting before showing the last 10 minutes of the race at 11:45PM. NBC's coverage blows ass.

I enjoyed (somewhat) the swimming.

But let's face it - watching olympic sports is, for the most part, like watching paint dry. There are few (from a spectating perspective) "exciting" sports in the olympics... IMO.

And while we're at it - isn't watching a TT even *worse* than watching paint dry? I mean, watching a mt bike race is boring enough......... but roadies riding fast against the clock? <yawwwwwwn>

NBC is giving America what it wants - gymnastics and then 3 seconds of 100 other events. :D

I'm so excited whenever cycling comes on TV, I don't care what it is, I'll watch it. As far as NBC goes, it frustrates the hell out of me that their prime time coverage keeps jumping from event to event before the one you were watching even finishes. They show Event A for 10 minutes, followed by Events B-F for 10 minutes each before starting the cycle all over again. By the time they start showing the conclusion of events, it's past 11:00 on the east coat and I am fast asleep. Besides, it's all tape-delayed so I usually know the results anyway.

The only events that I can actually stand to watch are the live ping pong and rowing type events at 5:30 AM on Bravo. At least they are live and show the single event in its entirety. The Olympics suck anyway, so I don't even know why I watch. :stupid:

I didn't dog anything. My point is that you have to sit through 15 other events before they get back to the one you were watching.

Oh you dogged it alright! And now that the swimmer rath is being unleashed you are hiding you dogitude... I see how it is :p: :monkey:

Seriously, yeah, its annoying how they jump around. They should just have all day coverage and cover complete events 1 at a time.

While we're doggin' on swimming, I've got a complaint - some swimmer dude had a pair of trunks on that were so low-cut that I could see the top of his a$$ crack. Who the fakk does he think he is, Brittany Spears?? :mumble:

You should have seen the days of the 'paper suit'. Those sombiches were so small and tight that your nuts actually went into hiding. They have it easy these days what with thise full body suits and chit.
