To any mountain bikers:

UCSD Family Sports Medicine physicians Ken Taylor and Julie Chuan are conducting a study to test specially designed hand grips and gloves to reduce ulnar neuropathy (hand numbness) symptoms in mountain bikers. We are looking for participants bike for the study who mountain bike and are willing to ride on two separate days - one with and one without our hand grips and gloves.

Participants: All levels of mountain bikers with any hand numbness after riding are welcome to participate.

Dates: Saturday March 19th and Sunday March 20th at 9am.

Location: Los Penasquitos Canyon trail off of Sorrento Valley exit on the 805. The ride is about 12 miles, beginner/intermediate level.

Bikes: Grip shifter bikes cannot be used because the test grips will not fit. We will need to remove your bike grips to install our test grips.

All participants will get to keep the grips and gloves as thanks for participating.

Please RSVP to Julie Chuan if interested or with questions at jjchuan@hotmail.com
