I just bought a 26" dirtjumper and put some new bars on it. I was wondering how wide all you guys are running your bars? These things are 27.75" wide and are huuuuuuuge. I cut them too 25.75" and that feels ok, but was just curious how wide some of your bars are.

I ride bars that wide or wider on my BMX (28in) and 26in dirtjumper (27.75), and love them on both bikes.
Ride them for a bit and see what you think before cutting them, but chopping an inch off either side wouldn't make them absurdly short at all. If you set on cutting them though, I'd go with a smaller increment first.

28 is as wide as I like to go. But 27 is fine too. My shoulders aren't very wide so too wide of bars is too much for me.

x-ups are easier for me with less wide bars.

28 plus on everything.

One thing to look for if you want to try wide bars is a lot of sweep. Straightish wide bars put your hands in an awkward position.

26" feels perfect to me, but i'm told its way too narrow, so in order to make sure everyone thinks i'm cool.....

i got 30" on my downhill.
28" on my bmx.
29" on my 24
and 24" on my fixed.

my bars feel dope. maybe when i man up, ill try some wider bars haha. for now im sticking with these. i feel like i clipped a lot of trees and things with my other bars. i guess riding with wider ones would help me not clip trees... i'll get some wide bars for my big bike soon and see how those work.

I like 25 to 26". I used to run 23-24" back n the day, but it gets sketchy on faster jumps and trails
