I"m just happy we were greeted as liberators, and that the oil revenue is covering the cost of the war. Otherwise, things could have turned out to be a real mess.

$4 trillion direct costs and 1/3 million lives in the three main theaters in the war on terror - Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. With interest its around 12 trillion. That along with worldwide Wall Street crisis/bail out under Bush. All that means the trillions in debt and economic crisis are Obama fault because nobody took macroeconomics 101 and ???

the snow had just stopped here, and when leaving work (by the airport) i blew through a snowdrift in my 91 ranger, got up on 2 wheels, and took out a utility box & the 911 system for the SE part of town for 18hrs. the good news: it only slightly bent my crossmember, and i was able to drive off.

Front Range, dude...
I hate that draft dodging rich fvck. Sickening that his father proclaimed the end of the "Vietnam syndrome" yet his idiotic actions have cost so many lives, so much money and our national reputation. How many ticking PTSD time bombs did you spawn George? And he skips out on it to paint moronic oil paintings and leave the Right to blame Obama...I hope you sleep well at night you fvck.

Another way to fathom such a huge number:

The biggest three theaters the War on Terror bring it up to $12T over 50 years - the most significant portion of the Bush Terror tax/legacy to around $750/year per person for the next 50 years. Just think if you combined that with Bush's Wall Street crisis/bailout and his auto bailout. Its estimated at around $11T on personal wealth loss (18%) from the Wall Street crisis alone. Home values dropped by about 1/3 on average.

just so we're clear here: democrats in congress who voted for the initiation & subsequent annual re-funding do not share the burden

got it.

Primary blame for (lying/untruthful statements/misleading statements/etc) goes to the Administration since they were the ones who said "trust us, we have the evidence, it's there, we promise". Secondary blame goes to anyone stupid/ignorant enough to vote for the war without concrete evidence (Republicans *and* Democrats). It's one of the reasons why I didn't want Hillary to be the nominee in '08.

You're spot-on for those damn annual refunding and lack of 90-day oversight votes though...
