Thanks Yannis - I still have a little bit of time to enjoy my 35th year - going to cap it off with a fully rigid single speed ride in about 45 minutes! Here's hoping I don't kill myself riding this bike before I turn 36.

Must be enjoying the Holidays in Greece eh since you are up past midnight? Thanks for the birthday wishes.

I'm going for a bikey ride in Boston today!

Awesome!

I invested $10 in the stock market for your birthday.. Figured in 20 years or whatever you could cash it in and it'd be worth thousands. Nice gift, eh?

The stocks plummeted. You owe me $5.

You can pay me whenever.

Thanks everyone! Just got back from Boston - had a great day. Hit the New Balance outlet sale and picked up some trail shoes and wicking shirts, then had turkey burgers and grilled corn for lunch - then a ride along the Charles, and then on to Tasca in Brighton/Allston for some Tapas and dessert! YUM!

Awesome Awesome Day!!

Hey Mark - Sorry I missed it - I was in "beautiful" Cincinnati for a week for work, and was barely on line.
Hope it was fun.
Now tell me about this rigid single speed........

The Marin has finally been transformed into a seriously ghettorigged fully rigid single speed. I should post some pics because it is whacked out....all sorts of spacers and small cogs to get the spacing right and then a weird assembly of washers and an old MRP roller for a chain tensioner. But it works and it keeps the chainline taught and straight!

I rode it on Trails last Thursday and took a beating with it - but had fun - hey I was out riding right?

Then I took it to Boston on Friday and rode it with my friend Karen who just got a k2 hybrid bike a few weeks ago - so we did a little ride along the Charles River. Good times.
