Morning Monkeys!!

Stosh congrats on totalling your car!!!

I had a nice afternoon/evening with the little woman... dinner was yummie but honestly it felt like every other night!!!
I had some more fun in the snow yesterday with my singlespeed. the snow lets you create your own singletrack wherever you want!! plus you can sculpt it and make some ramps.. its especially nice in the crosswalks.. except the snow is melting quicly and you get a little soggy.

Morning Stosh - I want to skip outta work early to catch the US Men's Olympic Hockey game vs. Latvia. I want to see if Arturs Irbe is in nets for the Latvians. And I want to see who is in nets for the US - their weak spot on the roster, but who knows maybe someone will step up and get hot in net and carry the boys to a medal.

'morning everyone.

Had a nice dinner w/ Jenn last night, she bought my ticket to Bermuda for me for V-Day . She should NOT have spent that much money, but it was nice of her :)

We zipped straight to dinner the minute I got home last night to try and beat the crowd. Ended up with an hour wait (which wasn't bad since we just had a couple drinks), but by the time we go seated, the wait was up to 3 hours! :dead:

The last of my stereo gear arrived yesterday, too. I'm antsy to get it set up!

'Morning monkeys! Good luck searching for a new vehicle, stosh.

So I've got the Canana-Italy hockey game up on my computer, getting game updates. Canada's got like 40 shots on goal and it's still the 2nd period.

I got up early and watched some of the Sweeden/Kazahkstan and Canada/Italy games. I love world play hockey!

What did you end up getting? Did you go with the Yamaha and Polk stuff?
http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143747

Thread in the Tech Forum that I'll continue to update as I get stuff set up. I did get the Polk speakers but ditched the Yamaha idea as too expensive and went with a significantly cheaper Panasonic all digital receiver that's developed a bit of a cult following. J&R had a sale on them, and they have a 30 day return policy if I don't like it.

I had some kind of spicy sausage w/ penne & marinara sauce. Jenn had a similar dish with shrimp instead of sausage.

End of April. Her parents have a time share there and the couple that they usually go with can't go this year, so Jenn and I got invited. Great deal - we get a free place to stay!

Tickets are ridiculously expensive. I mean, I could practically canoe to Bermuda because it's so close, and it's still more expensive than flying to California.

Let me know how the Polk Audio speakers sound. I'm a big fan of Cambridge Soundworks speakers.

Sweeeeeet....insider deal! MBC and I are going to Disney World in May with a friend of ours. We're staying in Old Key West for free because our friend's parents own a timeshare they're not going to use. It's a two bedroom condo that goes for $590 a night.

Very nice man. Bermuda was beautiful when I was there last august. You going to be doing any diving while you're there?

BV - Holy Crap - Nice score on thoes Polk Audio Loudspeakers - how the hell did you find those at such an incredibly low price?
Well, like I said in the thread, I literally stumbled on it. Outpost.com was selling them at the lowest price around, so I bookmarked it for later reference. Went back to the bookmark 10 minutes later, and the price had dropped. Good thing I snatched 'em up, too, since Outpost doesn't even stock them anymore. I believe Polk discontinued them.

I love the Polks in my car, I have high hopes for these.

Morning folks.

Still fighting off a cold of some sort. It's really cutting into my trainer time this week, and so are all the exams.

Anyway, class out early, back to class at 10, then more studying for tomorrow's exams.

I visited that site via your thread - couldn't find anything close to a great deal like that on any of their other audio items. Nice score BV!!

Good morning. Had a nice night with Julie, after the ticket. She enjoyed her roses, so I guess Valentine's day isn't a bad thing. Going for a ride tonight.

Yeah I made Filet Mignon (Sp?) with gorgonzola on top with some fresh string beans and instant mashed potato's.

I didn't have time to make proper mashed potato's.

Probably not. We're looking to keep this as inexpensive a vacation as possible since some aspects of it (like the plane ticket) are extremely expensive.

We just did take out from El Chico, which I don't really love, but my chicken enchiladas were good.

*I also installed new weatherstripping around the rear windows on Julie's Sentra. It's a '92 and needs some love, until the Xterra is paid off next year.

**I was surprised to read that they totalled the Xterra. How fast was everything??? I have seen so few wrecks that I don't even know how safe they are in accidents.

Yo. Not much to report. Went out for dinner with the chick last night. Threw my back out while taking part in 'activities'. I blame her.

Edit: Got a traffic ticket mailed to me yesterday. :mumble: It says its for running a red ($287) - the loaded gravel truck that was behind me was running the red - I was getting the FK outta the way. Hopefully I can get it lowered to running a yellow($115).

Yeah, I hear that. If you do get to do any diving, Blue Water Divers was an awesome operation. The Constellation/Montana wrecks and the Mary Celeste were probably the two premier sites we were able to dive.

But otherwise, make sure to spend some time in St. George: there's a LOT of stuff to see that's really not readily apparent on first glance. Actually, that same thing holds true on the entire island. Although I just wish they had rental cars...

S'up, goofballs.

All went well for Valentine's except Justine got called into work at midnight because the 3rd shift person didn't show up---had some bow-chicka-wow-wow going on and then.......the "pager of coitus interruptus" goes off. Crap. Just ignore it.

"Beeep-Beeep."

**sigh**

"See ya in the morning, honey. Call me and let me know you got there in one piece."

Goodmorning

Got to work a little late today because my landlord thought that 8:30 in the morning would be a terrific time to discuss the mud outside my door from where I clean my mountainbike shoes and brush off the bike before bringing it inside. He's convinced I'm going to ruin his floors. And, yes, having a muddy bike inside isn't ideal, but I feel weird leaving my new bike in his shed, which he doesn't plow a path to in the winter  :mumble:

This really bugs me. I think it's more the fact that he doesn't understand how much the bike is worth and that it's not exactly something that can be replaced. Grrr...

Apparently his building and carpet aren't worth anything to you. It's his stuff. Respect it, or move. They are just bikes to people. Many hotels won't let people bring bikes in. It sounds like things are muddy, and I would tell you to keep your bike out too. Why would you not respect his things, as you wish he would respect yours??? There are methods to keeping things clean. Are you taking those???
