We've had 12" of rain since 1 June here.... all accompanied with high winds (up to 80 mph) which have dropped trees all over the trails.

We're waiting for a break in the weather so we can get in and log the trees out... forcast for this week is solid rain thru Sun...

:(:(:(

Hey... it occured to me that I have nothing yet planned for the weekend of Aug 7-8 if you wanted to get together for a ride... either up here or down there. My wife and daughter are going to be away on vaca (at least that's their plan at this point), so I'm free to ride that weekend. Give it some thought...

Perhaps have a few of the rochester :monkey:s down as well - a little riding and some BB-Qing.

Ah... well, I suppose one could do that here...

...but not with a typical Louisiana long-travel bike (4")...

:p
Ha ha ha!!!

You guys usually get that much rain!
You better get out and clear the logs now because when it's nice you won't want to, you'll want to ride!

This F'ing state gets 5 1/2 + feet of rain per year..... that's more than most tropical rain forests... :(

We are all looking forward to Aug when it's 100 degrees and 98% humidity outside... at 1 AM.... :dead:

The weather looks what??? As usual, this makes little sense. :stosh:
just add "good" inbetween "looks" and "for" and it makes perfect sense.

Last year we got over 6 feet of rain. At least we have mountains that make it drain somewhere else.

Mornin all. I just checked the status of my camera order, and its due to arrive on friday. I can't freakin wait!

Going for a ride after work today if the weather holds. It should, and it looks like it'll be nice. Its been 1-1/2 weeks since I've been on my bike, but it seems like forever. Hopefully I can still hang...

What camera did you get?

Morning.

I have been tooo busy at work to even pop in here.

We had fourteen people show up for a 40 mile loop Saturday, from Randolph VT over Braintree Gap to the White River Valley and then back over the Randolph Gap. Lots of climbing, lots of mud, nice long descents, good views, good people, good beer. :thumb:

Hey Monkeys - got my Belair back from the shop last night - new drivetrain in place and ready to be tested tonight!!
I don't think you're qualified to test it. I think you should ship it to me. I'll test it and get back to you :D

Had the drivetrain replaced huh? Guess you're not giving any serious consideration to selling it for a hardtail then huh?

Drivetrains can easily be transferred to other bikes. But I need the Belair this weekend for the 24 Hours of Adrenaline race.

Haven't ruled out a hardtail as a replacement - but I also haven't ruled out a 5" travel FS frame either! ;) :D
