あけましておめでとうございます。 Greetings and salutations for 2010.

While most of Nikko's longer trails are under snow there are still some gems to be had. This is a trail at the bottom of the Kirifuri Highlands.

Need to try a helmet mount next time with the camera, as there was quite the alpha monkey screeching and pounding his chest at me from a rock on the side of the trail

jump? perhaps you are seeing the left over logging piles on the sides of the trail, as much as I would like to turn them into jumps, National Forest and all... No overtly man-made structures.
