Morning Monkey's.

Woke to fog horns on the river, haven't heard that in a while. Not sure if smoke or fog, seems to be a mix.

Hitting a new to me ghetto 9 hole course that is WAY closer than my usual.

Stay safe, shits ugly 'round here.

Put new seals/dust wiper in the Monarch RC3 last night. Hoping that eliminates the constantly-oily shaft.

Coffee and breakfast burrito consumed, taking kid and dog to hike the backyard trails. He's got his Spiderman Vivofit Jr on.

Nam tomorrow morning with @Adventurous , assuming he gets back to me with a time.:wait:

Had and excellent evening out with friends at Posada to celebrate Ruth's 60th birthday last night. Slept in until 8 this morning, most excellent. I shall now brew up some coffee and do jack shit for the following couple of hours. Way too damn smokey out to even think of doing a ride, Getting tired of orange skies of the Apocalypse

'Morning! I ran my Not Boston Marathon in 3:17:45 (7:33 pace). Very steady the whole way which I credit on taking it pretty easy on this run. I got tired but I felt good the whole way. I would have pushed a lot harder if it was a real race. 8 oz of brisket with fries and cole slaw for reload.

Turns out I don't have all the tools needed to service my DHX air. Fuckity fuck.... Whomever I lent my Fox Service tools to and didn't return them is no longer eligible for service.

Son saw the jump line in the backyard trails....when walking around a berm he goes "Dad! It's like a rollercoaster!"

Motherfucker is 3 and he gets it already.

Also did his first trailside poop, which was another proud dad moment.

Got on my road bike for the first time in two or three years, rode for five to seven miles. What an odd beast. A friend wants to ride up on Grand Isle and the Heros early next month, wanted to make sure that the bike still works.
I'll be up hunting and camping on Grand Isle/Heros early next month too. I'll keep an eye out for the stache.

some of my buddies drove out west the other day. denver monkeys will be pleased to know the first thing they hit was apex.
I could probably get rocks close to the trailhead with a decent slingshot from where I'm sat.

@jstuhlman what did they think? It's only a small park with a big up and then big down if you've started at the bottom.

fell asleep in the hammock, woke up because it was getting hard to breath. Looked up the AQI its up to 228 and visibility is around 1/2 mile through the smoke. Checked the return air duct of the AC system. The Hepa Filter is toast. put in a new one. Just ordered 6 more online with a MERV 13 rating which will filter out smoke particles
Old filter is on the right
