i want to build off an Imperial

dont have too much money

any ideas:D

(is it a good idea at all)

yes. a very good idea, indeed. my buddy is stoked with his breakout+ on his imperial; that would be a good place to start... (although "not much money" and imperials do not mix well - its a bit of a sacriledge to hang cheap parts off that frame...)

Once you really start freeriding many people realize that deraillers and all the unnecessary junk that accompanies them suck. Single speed is awesome. NO clanking noises from your drivetrain, NO expensive deraillers or chainguides to break, NO flimsy shifting chains, NO extra complication and headaches. oh, and stronger wheels and less weight, not to mention it looks better.

Single speed is a good decision!

I love mine
