Hi....just Wondering What People Are Running For Tire Sizes..specifically On Freeride Hardtails? I've Got A Spec P3 With 5" Black Elite Fork...and Bought It With 2.3 On Front And 2.1 On Rear, But Considering Going With 2.5/2.3......any Opinions On That? What Are The Advantages Of A Wider Tire?? I Love Riding It For Most Everything, small Drops, lots Of Skinnies, urban, etc. Thanks, Mike

fat as you can get. Hardtail frames toast rear wheels real quick, so a big burly intense 2.5 and a dh tube, or even some gazzi's is not out of the question.

Bigger tires will make your bike a :oink: to pedal, but it will be smoother on drops, and grip better on skinnies.

A big tire in the back of a hardtail may be a tight fit, I can't fit bigger than a 2.3 26 in the rear of my norco 250. 2.5/2.3 is a good compromise for a hardtail.
