Man this is the weirdest feeling. I've never had to do this before but alot of people fell I've been in the right for so long and my boss has been in the wrong that I should report him to the labor board. I just now got paid for the last 4 months of work (never paid me), get no pay stubs (have to ask, and even then I don't get them), there's no wages and breaks posted, no real lunch, and no sick/vacation time.
It is a extremely small business, but I know alot of these things are in the wrong. Once I can cash these checks and get my $$$, I'm giving him my 2 week notice. I basicly feel like I am going no where here and it's a stressfull job. Dealing with my problems and his problems is too much.
Just wondering if any other guys/gals in here have had to do this? I know the outcome is in my favor, but just the feeling of turning such a stupid owner in, kinda bugs me. I have no quark on doing it so it doesn't happen to another employee as it's happened to a bunch in the past (no pay stubs, lunch really, withholding last check). Atleast 8 I can think of. I've just been the dumb one for staying here for so long. 4 years to be exact.
Just curious, it's hard finding the encouragement for this but the women at the labor board said it's normal no matter how large/small a company is. She just said they need to know the rules just like everyone else, which I think is the truth.
Just wonderin, about to leave and was thinking about this
