Just a reminder here. You are talking about gas. Save some cash drive less. OK. I am much more concerned about the price of food. I can't even fathom eating less. My electric bill has f'n doubled. **** just costs more. Deal with it....
Yea, but still. I don't really complain much about the cost of gas for my car (I'm going to drive regardless, so whatever), but when propane prices (that's how I heat my house) double over the course of a summer, that pretty much sucks - I will bitch about that.Just a reminder here. I just put Gas in My Car , for the first time in over 2 months.
and I have trails right in my Back yard !!
Turn the heat to 55F in the winter and buy some heavy weight down comforters...........Yea, but still. Yep - that's fine for me, and from time to time I'll be doing just that. But that's pretty hard on young kids.Turn the heat to 55F in the winter and buy some heavy weight down comforters...........
Or - put in a wood stove, get out in those woods around your pad and start choppin'. Just don't expect to have much time left over to ride.
No thanks, I'll save my money for when the gas prices are increased again. It's good news for consumers and the economy. Continued lower prices "may act like a tax cut" and stimulate spending
It is not. Hell - it's how I grew up in Michigan. Kids don't care. Sure they might whine occasionally about it being cold, but tell 'em to sack up!Yep - that's fine for me, and from time to time I'll be doing just that. But that's pretty hard on young kids.
She won't be there this winter... she's moving out (we're separating) this weekend.Your wife, however, is another matter altogether.
SS deprives his kids of real maple syrup...you think heat is that big of a priority?Yep - that's fine for me, and from time to time I'll be doing just that. But that's pretty hard on young kids.
that's just means he's a good dad. Log Cabin is the only real syrup.SS deprives his kids of real maple syrup...you think heat is that big of a priority?
Damn, dude. She won't be there this winter... she's moving out (we're separating) this weekend.

It's not. I like it cold at night.SS deprives his kids of real maple syrup...you think heat is that big of a priority?
a gallon a month? sounds like the problem isn't cost; you need some sort of flow orifice/regulating valve on the syrup container.
I'd use real maple syrup if I could afford a gallon a month of the stuff.
I'm sorry to hear this! She won't be there this winter... she's moving out (we're separating) this weekend.
Holy crap dude, this w/e.......thats big newsShe won't be there this winter... she's moving out (we're separating) this weekend.

Hey - my kids like pancakes. And waffles. And french toast. What can I say.a gallon a month? sounds like the problem isn't cost; you need some sort of flow orifice/regulating valve on the syrup container.
Syrup doesn't need to be refrigerated, n00B.do you keep HFCS/'maple' syrup in the freezer along w/ the 3 gallons of milk?
Ummm........ unless my math is wrong, that's $100/gallon.SS just needs to down grade from grade A to grade B syrup. We get it in the 175 ml bottle at trader joes for around 5 bucks. 100% canadian goodness.
Whoops, add a zero at the end. 1.75 L. I was too busy being depressed to do my metric conversion factors correctly.Ummm........ unless my math is wrong, that's $100/gallon.
You sure those bottles aren't bigger?
That's still $25/gallon. We'll stick to the "real" stuff on special occasions.Whoops, add a zero at the end. 1.75 L. I was too busy being depressed to do my metric conversion factors correctly.
and now that I think about it, it's probably only a 750 ml container.
Dude. Only hippies shop there. Maybe jdschall could go in there and fill my jug.SS - you may need to start buting Syrup wholesale in 55 gallon drums. Probably get a sweet price.
Actually, if you have one of those local natural food stores close by, they usually sell syrup pretty cheap. You bring in your own quart jug, and top it off from the gallon containers in the store.
I will hope for the best situation for all of you. Best wishes!eh - it is what it is. Hopefully it will be better for everyone (especially the kids, which is why we are doing it) in teh long run. Nothing is legal at this point (it's a joint, amicable separation), so if it turns out to be the wrong decision we can rethink things. If it's the right thing, then it's the first step...
I wonder if I'll get more bacon.i wonder if we are going to get under $2 a gallon?
My thifty work commute is 1.2 miles - via bike or footi'm out on my bike.
my thrifty car ways just financed my new camera, which was just delivered.
i'll send you some grade B dark amber syrup.I wonder if I'll get more bacon.
Here we're still around $2.60.
