Anyone know what it uses, I got a normal 8" rear adapter but it doesn't fit. Could anyone tell me which one I need.

Crap..I can't remember exactly which one, but I think I ended up with an Avid adapter (which was actually pilfered from a rental bike....long story).
Yeah an Avid 6" adapter will work for an 8" rotor on the yeti.

Thanks guys I guess I will have to try that, anyone else have any other ideas, or have they used anything different.
Could someone please post a pic of the rear of there DH9 where the brake is attached. I just want to see what it looks like, I have 4 different Hayes adapters and not a one of them fits. Thanks.
