OK so I have an 05 Boxxer Race and I am trying to mount hayes mag to it. Heres the problem, with a 203mm rotor it doesnt grab it all of the rotor, nly about 2/3 of it. I have the boxxer specific mount. What else is going wrong here?

are you sure the boxxer mount you have is the correct one for the boxxer you have? (not sure if there have been any changes to the boxxer brake mounting system over the last few years, but that might be a good place to look )

The boxxer non-standard has been the same for ever. The fork mount has not changed over the years, but it is different than 'IS'. The 'smart' number stamped in to the adapter should be 22.


Any chance it will fit upside down??

That was my thought

Not upside down, but after checking the mount is not a Boxxer mount, its the 74-25 instead of a 74-22. Appologies those who helped...cheers

well glad we could help you get to the bottom of the problem now get the proper bracket and go ride yer bike!
