Is there any difference between the CALIPERS on differnt types of brakes?

If I were to Replace my crappy HFX-9 and HFX-Comp Levers, would I basically have a different brake?

What would be the best levers to get? (and cheap?)

The Hayes guy @ Mt. Snow told me that my HFX-Comp levers could be replaced by either of the other two models. However, you need to buy the whole lever/body/master cylinder assembly because the levers are different widths. The calipers can stay the same.

I believe all the G1's are the same between the Mags and Comps, but the HFX-9's have the G2 calipers. The comps were discontinued before the G2 came out, so it's got the G1.

If you have a Comp lever with a G2 caliper, you have a bastard child brake but it should work just fine.
