who knows what about these models: Prime Pro, Prime Expert, Stroker Ace, Stroker Gram, Stroker Trail. i can get any of these models at a pretty good price so i'm looking for some user info on them. i ride XC so take that into consideration with recommendations.

I had Stroker Carbon's on my last bike - very similar to the Gram and Trail (in fact I think they are basically identical to the Trail expect for the carbon levers). Anyway, I had a lot of problems with them: really noisy pads, caliper pistons wouldn't self-adjust properly, carbon lever cracked, finally the rear caliper started leaking.

I've been much happier with Avid brakes.
