I have a rear hub that says Hayes Elite on it. I know some "hayes" hubs were made by Hugi, but I don't think these were. I have a pair of the Hugi 240s branded "hayes" and they aren't the same.
Anyways, they have a freehub mech that is very similar to a Hadley. Both of the pawls broke on me and I need new ones. I looked all over and can't find parts. Anybody know where to get them.

Hayes Elite = Hugi Onyx. Not the greatest hubs, but great customer service (970) 242-9232 (at least it used to be last time I spoke to them, few years ago)

Yeah if it has standard pawls like a hadley then it's an Onxy.
Both BTI and QBP carry parts for them.
Also, there is a metal cap thing that the bearing sits in on the axle inside the FH that often cracks, check it out when getting the pawls

Last I knew, DT Swiss was giving the bearing retainers away for free (FYI: its a left hand thread). DT will also do direct sales. Probably faster than ordering indirectly. I have always received stuff quickly from them.

....yeah, this is right on. I have a rear hayes elite hub & my bearing retainer bit it early on. They are replacing them with the newly revised FR version. Mine has held up much better. Another vote for their CS.....everytime I called up they have been simply awesome! :p
