Shut up and ride...
Last Saturday I took A pretty good tumble after nailing a drop.

The brake lever pulled out (opposite of when you squeeze the breaks) And it pulled out the adjustment screw and the piece that goes into the master cylinder(sp?) I popped it back in and tightend up the lever as it was loose.

Is this normal? Ist that suppose to pop out like that?

The breaks work fine and feels like new after I made the adjustment. I was just wondering if it was suppose to pop out like that.

no, it isn't really "supposed" to do that. I've never pulled out a Hayes, but my Shimano XT lever has pulled out twice now. It was a fairly complicated fix - there's a washer that got warped, and an internal snap-ring that needed to be reshaped and reinstalled.

If your lever blade isn't popping out with the fix you did, then you should be okay. I'd be careful though, you might have stripped out a screw or something

Hopes are a nightmare to work on compared to Hayes! They should paint bulls-eyes on the banjo fitting at the lever. Or maybe camoflage it so the rocks will have a harder time finding it! You should replace the washer that pulled out. It shouldn't be too difficult to fix. Or you could probobly get away with flattening the original washer, flipping it around, and putting it all back together. This does mean you will have to bleed it.

No way, Hopes are easy.
