my lever keeps popping out of the socket that it goes in to activate the brake and now it has reached the point where it goes in and out of the socket without resistance!!! this is causing me to have to tie it to the handlebar so that it stays in there.
how do i fix it,
how much does it cost to fix it,
and have YOU ever had this happen????

jep broke mine at sugar on the last day of lift service did not even get a run in,...swithced to my juicys rebuild kit was 20bucks

worn out ball joint if it's a hayes mag...

yeah, its a mag, should i just take it into the shop???

there's a rebuild kit that you can order... or just buy a new lever... I opted for a new lever...

Sounds suspiciously line Hayes Nine's...it really does. the C-Clip and washer tend to do exactly what you described.

Mag's will do it too. You remember the one on my Bullit that I "fixed" with a piece of DH inner tube. I have yet to look inside it to see what broke.

I own 2 sets of Mag's, both g2's... and don't see any C clips on any part of the brake set...

I think the C clip is under the boot for the mags.
