Sorry - haven't found a schematic of a Hayes lever online and need info soon... On Hayes HFX9 levers there is an 2mm lever reach adjustment screw, this screw is actually a shaft that appears to drive a piston inside the lever body. This piece is retained in the lever body by means of a "snap-ring" (or C-clip) My question is this: If I remove the snap ring that retains this piece, will I need to bleed my brake again, or will it allow me access to the 2mm adjustment shaft so that I can swap it out, without causing havoc 1 day before I leave for Moab?
