Hayes Mechanical mounting question

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm putting Hayes mech discs on a friends bike, but no matter what I do, the outboard(moving) pad always angles in towards the front. It does this on the front and back. I fixed it on the front by putting a piece of paper between the front part of the pad and the rotor and it works. No rub and a great feel. The rotor seems to be getting pushed evenly. But the back, regardless of what I do, always angles in. It's not rubbing, but the feel is awful. And the front part of the rotor moves a lot more than the rear, so the front of the pad is obviously hitting first. Sorry for the essay-length question. Thanks in advance.:monkey:

This might help. Try turning in both of the 4mm adjusment set screws until there is hardly any room between the pads and the rotor. Adjust the caliper and tighten all the mounting bolts. Now back out the screws until you get the feel you want. Ride for awhile. Your problem may be a simple brake-in issue. After you've ridden for a bit, readjust. This has worked for me in the past.
