My front brake is aways rubbing on the rotor - I pull out the pads, use a wrench to push the pistons back, but after about 10 miles, they'll start rubbing again - is there something I'm missing? Does anyone have any tips?
I put a business card on each side of the disc, pull the lever in a few times. This adjusts the pads so they are centered and a little farther out. Just one option.
Okay - I looked at it last night. (It's my rear brake). Do you mean the 2 bolts on the side of the caliper facing the wheel? WIll brake fluid leak out if I mess with these? Do I need to use a torque wrench?
Also, I won't be able to turn these without taking the wheel off. Do I need to put the wheel back on (get the disk back in) to squeeze the brakes?
The inside pad is rubbing pretty bad. I've taken the pads off, pushed the pistons back, used business cards about a dozen times, and it always "readjusts" so that it's rubbing.
