Im travelling from the Uk to California (SanFran & Vegas) during March and have been lucky enough to be able to add a week on the end of the trip to take some vacation time so figured I'd drag my bike along and have some fun.

Would be interested to hear where you guys rate and which of the following bikes I should bring along.
I'm not into long XC rides and prefer gravity to help propel me. Like jumpy fast flowing lines.

I'd take the trail bike. That said, the 2nd sx looks super fun. I want.

thx guys for the feedback everyone, I suspect I'll probably put a 10-42t cog on the smaller SX and a dropper post as it would be the more versatile. I'm having a blast riding it right now as its just so quick and responsive.

nah, will be first time riding in the US for me. Looking forward to seeing some dry trails, I don't think its been dry in the Uk for about 18 months now. Bootleg looks fun....
