Headset Stack-Height FAQ

    I thought it might be handy to post info here about the stack-height of various headsets since there are times when having a short or tall stack can help you with setting up a bike. For instance a friend of mine needs to find a tall lower cup because his front tire is grazing the bottom of the downtube when fully compressed. Also sometimes a short stack headset is nice if you need to fit a fork with an already cut steer tube onto a bike with a long-ish headtube etc. Feel free to post stack-height of various stems also.

    Alright, let's post up here with specs. I'll go first.

    Chris King 1-1/8" NoThread Set-
    Total Stack: 31.4mm
    Lower Cup: 13.7mm
    Upper Cup: 17.7mm

    fsa pig pro.. 1 1/8

    just shy of 31mm
    top about 15.5mm measured from headtube to top of cap
    bottom is 15 measured from bottom of fork crown race to headtube
